Website Goals & Credits
The Delarge Construction website serves as a professional showcase for prospective and returning clients across Southern Ontario who are looking to build, rebuild, or renovate their homes and buildings.
Designer Karen Robinson and Web Consultant Matthew Burpee collaborated closely with Jared and Alydia Delarge, who contributed photography and blog writing. Karen led the creative direction and design coordination, while Matthew focused on content strategy, user experience, and development. The website launched in October 2025.
Presentation
The homepage welcomes visitors with a clear headline, a strong call to action, and a client intake form that reflects Delarge Construction’s focus on trust, transparency, and quality. Simple navigation, short introductions, and well-placed calls to action make the site intuitive and easy for everyone to use.
Clean white and warm taupe backgrounds, textures, and gridlines create subtle visual divisions between sections. The use of crimson red, charcoal, and terracotta for titles adds contrast and warmth, while red buttons with orange hover states draw attention to interactive elements, reinforcing consistency and energy across the site.
Typography is set in Montserrat, a typeface chosen for its balance of geometric precision and human warmth, ensuring clarity and timeless modern appeal.

It also includes Modula, Solid Performance, UpdraftPlus, Akismet, and more to enhance image galleries, improve site speed, manage backups, and protect against spam.
The website adheres to web standards, including HTML5, CSS4, JavaScript, and strives to meet WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility guidelines. An orange title on beige and a form don’t yet meet AA standards. Routine testing with tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, Accessibility Checker, WAVE, and the W3C Markup Validator ensures the site remains fast, accessible, and compliant with best practices.
